The undergraduate sub-committee is a new committee within Blackstone in 2012 designed to reflect the changes New Courses has brought to UWA. The undergraduate sub-committee is responsible for representing undergraduate students (excluding LLB students) at UWA, and communicating concerns or feedback from undergraduate students undertaking any law units.
If you would like to get in contact with the undergraduate sub-committee, please send an email to undergrad@blackstone.asn.au.
This year, the undergrad sub-committee is comprised of bright and enthusiastic first year students who are completing their undergraduate degrees. Take a look below to find out more about them!
Pre-Law Director
2nd Year Commerce (Economics and English)
“I am interested in politics and international relations and enjoy engaging with media in the form of film, literature and television. In other areas I thoroughly enjoy debating, engaging with volunteer and mentoring programs and playing sports such as tennis. I am sure that my involvement with Blackstone will allow me to foster all of these passions at a university level.”
2nd Year Commerce (Business Law and Political Science)
“Hey guys, I’m an assured entry JD student currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Law and Political Science with a couple of units of French as well. I’m looking forward to getting involved with Blackstone and representing my fellow undergraduate students, so don’t hesitate in approaching me about anything!”
2nd Year Arts (Law and Society and Political Science and International Relations)
“Apart from my majors, I am also studying Modern History and French. I’m interested in languages and foreign cultures. I’m excited to be part of Blackstone, and looking forward to getting to know you all so please feel free to approach me anytime and ask me anything!”
2nd Year Arts (Law & Society and Social & Applied Psychology)
“I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts before beginning my JD. I’m having a great time so far, particularly because of my involvement with Blackstone, and I’m excited to see where being a part of the Society could take me next. I’m very interested in human rights, and when I’m not in lectures I’m often taking part in volunteer work or some form of sport. I would love to have a talk about this and to get to know everybody better, so please feel free to come and have a chat at any time!”
2nd Year Commerce (Economics)
“Hey, I’m Gill, and I’m really looking forward to representing you on Blackstone this year! For those of you who don’t already know me, I’m pretty friendly and approachable. I’m also really keen to make sure that if you’re doing the New Courses and you have even the slightest interest in law, you’ll get the most that you possibly can out of Blackstone this year. Message me on Facebook or send me an email if you have any queries!”
