What’s Up in the Courtyard – Week 2 2013

Hey everyone and welcome to week 2!

So CYS broke the fountain… which wasn’t entirely unpredictable, but clearly indicates what an amazing party it was. It was great to see so many faces down there and for me to meet some new people. I’d particularly like to thank our super-Social VP Bella Tole and the rest of my committee for their hard work in making sure the night went off without a hitch (minus the whole fountain debacle). For those of you not lucky enough to attend, don’t worry, there are many more social events to come!

Again I would like to encourage everyone reading this newsletter to sign up to our facebook pages. They can be found on the right hand side of this newsletter and on our website.

JD students interested in being a part of the Blackstone committee, please pay particular attention to the information below as to the positions available and how you can nominate yourself for those positions. I really encourage getting involved in Blackstone. It’s a great way to meet new people and to develop new teamwork and leadership skills.

This week we launch our Blackstone Volunteering Program for 2013! If you are interested in getting involved, which I highly recommend, make sure you come down to the Law Lecture Room 1 at 1pm on Tuesday to learn more about the opportunities available and how you can be a part of our successful program.

From this week onwards, between 2-3pm on Tuesdays, I will be making myself available for student consult. Please feel free to swing by the office in the common if you want to chat about anything at all. As always of course, don’t hesitate to flick me an email at president@blackstone.asn.au or give me a buzz on 0431 969 084 if you have any questions.

Cheers

Mitch
