HUDSON IN-HOUSE PARALEGAL

Hudson is currently seeking a Paralegal to join their client’s Corporate team for a minimum of 4 to 6 months.

Tasks include:
- Assisting in the preparation
- Amending and reviewing of contracts and other legal documents
- Analysing and summarising documents and preparing memos

The candidate will be reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, gaining exposure to interesting and high-quality work in a supportive in-house environment.

The successful candidate will be:
- A penultimate, final year or completed Law student available for an immediate start
- Available a minimum of 3 days per week up to full time
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
- Highly developed attention to detail skills
- Strong work ethic and proactive approach
- Enthusiastic and dedicated approach
- Strong organisational skills
- Solid knowledge of corporate transactional processes and procedures
- Interest or experience in the field of construction law would be an advantage

SUMMER CLERKSHIP AT MDC LEGAL

MDC Legal is a boutique firm specialising in employment law who were recognised for Workplace Relations and Employment Team of the Year in the 2015. The firm is currently accepting applications for summer clerkships that will run from late November to December 2017. 

WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR
MDC is seeking an enthusiastic person with strong research and writing skills who has completed a law degree or who is in their penultimate or final year of studies. Prior work experience in, or study of employment law is highly desirable.

WHAT THE ROLE INCLUDES
Supporting the firm's lawyers, including:

WL & KJ EVERETT VACATION CLERKSHIP

WL & KJ Everett is a boutique law firm which has been based in Subiaco since 1965. They focus on family law, wills & estate, conveyancing, litigation, property and criminal law.

An opportunity has arisen for law students to partake in a summer clerkship of 2 weeks duration. During the clerkship, your responsibilities will include: filing documents at court; drafting wills, enduring power of attorneys and enduring power of guardianships; drafting asset and liability schedules; preparing discovery documents; and liaising with clients.

You will be able to attend court with their solicitors, and be involved in complex files and litigation. You will have the opportunity to learn directly from the firm's principal, Kylie Everett, who is an accredited family law specialist with over 25 years experience in law.

Successful candidates will preferably be in their penultimate year of study, and possess a strong work-ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage their time effectively. Please note that this is an unpaid clerkship.

The dates available for the clerkship are:
- Monday 4 December – Friday 15 December
- Tuesday 2 January – Friday 12 January
- Monday 15 January – Friday 26 January
