The Law Library is seeking 2 casual research assistants for the 2017 Law Research Support Service.
Under the supervision of a law librarian, research assistants will carry out tasks for Law School academics that may include the following: formatting footnotes, in-text references, or bibliographies according to AGLC or other referencing styles; verifying references; filling in details of incomplete references; proofreading and assisting with editorial changes and document formatting (e.g., applying heading styles).
LLB, JD, and HDR (Law) students are eligible to apply. Hours will vary depending on workload and are not guaranteed (employment is on a casual basis). You should be available to work at least four hours per week during business hours from April to December 2017. Successful applicants will receive a paid training session (approx. 1 hour) before they receive their first task. The pay rate is HEW 4.4 (approx. $42.25/hour).
