Tenancy WA is the specialist community legal centre for residential tenants. They are the central resource unit for the Network of Tenant Advocates across Western Australia, and provide the state-wide telephone advice line for tenants.
They are seeking a number of motivated and enthusiastic law students, who will assist their tenant advocates and solicitors with administrative and research tasks in the delivery of tenant advisory services, community legal education programs and law reform work.
Students must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 day per week for a minimum of a 6 month period. They are specifically looking for volunteers to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays, however if you are available on other days please still apply as the opportunity to volunteer on other days may arise.
Successful candidates will have great communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. Experience in legal and/or customer service industries is preferable but not essential.
To apply please submit a resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also include a record of your academic record and availability throughout the work week. For more information please visit http://www.tenancywa.org.au/
