Civic Legal Memo Writing

The Civic Legal Memo Competition gives students an opportunity to gain practical experience in the form of writing a memo to a senior lawyer on a hypothetical fact scenario. Students also have the opportunity to gain practical workplace experience in the form of a summer clerkship. The top memo writers will be selected for an interview, with the winner and potentially the runner up being offered paid summer clerkships at Civil Legal. Civic Legal is a boutique commercial firm located in the CBD and specialising in local government work.

Interested students should see the link below to the 2009 fact scenario and rules. Instructions for submissions are detailed in the rules. Submissions close 2 October 2009.
