Welcome! The 2010 Blackstone Society Equity Officers, James Marzec and Olivia Loxley would like to welcome you to the UWA Law School and the Blackstone Society.

Our role is to ensure that you are effectively represented and have access to the opportunities that are available within the Law School. We are committed to providing all law students the opportunity, no matter what their background is, to get involved in the Blackstone Society. We believe that diversity is critical in ensuring that the Blackstone Society not only fulfills its function of being a society for all law students but also creating a society which is innovative and exceptional. We believe in raising awareness of social justice issues and encouraging law students to contribute to the wider community. We highly encourage you to get involved in the 2010 Equity and Diversity programme and the 2010 Equity Sub-Committee. An understanding of equity issues is an important part of your legal education and forms the basis of skills and knowledge which are critical to your future professional and personal lives.
