ELC is looking for seven law student volunteers with a commitment to social justice to assist with its evening legal service and legal practice more generally. Work will involve assisting solicitors with client appointments and undertaking research and drafting materials in relation to a wide range of employment law issues.

The Sudanese Australian Integrated Learning Program provides English and community support to Sudanese Refugees.
In South Sudan – where most Sudanese refugees who settle in Australia come from – less than 30 percent of children attend school. Those that do receive an education do so in very poor conditions.
SAIL are currently looking for tutors to join the crew of Sailors at Balga Community Centre on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Ignite is a mentoring and tutoring project which aims to create equality of opportunity for young people by linking uni students with high school students from low socio-economic areas. Ignite focuses on providing direct practical support and building a relationship between the mentor and student.

The Mental Health Law Centre is currently looking for law students to assist with legal research and drafting law reform submissions (to be done from home).
As a research volunteer, you would be:
- given priority placement when future volunteer vacancies
arise in our office;
- recognised in MHLC’s Annual Report;
- welcome to attend our volunteer training session(s);
- authorised to attend Mental Health Review Board hearings
with a solicitor (where appropriate);
- promoting human rights by helping draft law reform
submissions to redress two of the most iniquitous statutes in WA ; and
- maybe find a great honours thesis topic.
