Welcome to the Blackstone Society
The Blackstone Society, the UWA Law Students' Society, is the peak representative body for students studying law at the University of Western Australia. Established in 1928, we represent approximately 1,000 students across the Faculty of Law.
For students, we offer a number of ways to get involved both within the Society and in extracurricular activities. This is achieved through a number of inclusive events and programs; by students for students is the guiding mantra of the Society.
For the legal profession, the Society is the conduit between students and firms, non-governmental organisations and government departments. We publish current opportunities to students, an annual careers handbook showcasing the diverse experiences of law graduates, and maintain a database of legal and professional service firms.
For the community, we run a myriad of social justice and volunteering programs, and facilitate the placement of a number of law students across a number of not-for-profits.
