Are you interested in seeing what Blackstone’s Trial Advocacy competitions and Mooting competitions are like from a new perspective? Do you want to spectate the competitions but have crucial inside information from the competitors themselves?
Blackstone is looking for interested pre-law undergrad students to take part in ‘briefing sessions’ run by competitors of legal competitions. This programme aims to pair up pre-law students with competitors, and involves pre-law students being given inside information by competitors about tactics and approaches to the problem question. Pre-law students will be given a copy of the problem question and then observe how the round unfolds. A de-brief by competitors will then take place after the round, where competitors and pre-law students can discuss how the round went.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to get involved with Blackstone competitions without competing and it will also provide for a more interactive method of spectating.
If this is something that you may be interested in, please send an email to prelaw@blackstone.asn.au with your name, student number, contact number and which competition you would like to be involved with.
