The Blackstone Guide to Careers

Sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills

This year, the Blackstone Guide to Careers has been broken up into three distinct parts: Student Life, Employment and Volunteering; International Opportunities; and Clerkships and Graduate Jobs. The Guide is a comprehensive law students’ survival guide, and includes the traditional clerkship and graduate information, but also information on exchanges, scholarships, international opportunities, elective units and more!

The Blackstone Guide to Careers provides students with diverse, thoughtful and useful career information. It details traditional legal career paths and practice areas, avenues for legal work experience, and information on graduate positions and clerkships; as well as critical dates, and practical hints about applications, CV’s and interview techniques. Recognising that all things corporate are not for everyone, the Careers Guide this year has a renewed focus on providing information on alternative career paths, volunteer work, social justice opportunities, international internships, and special information for grad students and women in the law; making it a complete careers resource.
