Careers Handbook
Sponsored by Freehills
The Careers Handbook provides students with diverse, thoughtful and useful career information. It details traditional legal career paths and practice areas, avenues for legal work experience, and information on articled clerkships; as well as critical dates, and practical hints about applications, CV’s and interview technique. Recognising that all things corporate are not for everyone, the Careers Handbook this year has a renewed focus on providing information on alternative career paths, volunteer work, social justice opportunities, international internships, and special information for grad students and women in the law; making it a complete careers resource.
The Careers Directory is produced as part of the Careers Handbook. This year’s editorial team has promised that it will be the most comprehensive directory ever compiled.

When to look out for the Careers Handbook
The 2010 Careers Handbook is currently being compiled by a fantastic and enthusiastic editing team. The Handbook will be filled with a wealth of useful information and is an excellent resource for students in all years of Law School.
The Handbook will be launched during careers week (1st-5th March 2010) and we are once again privileged to have the Honourable Chief Justice Wayne Martin as guest speaker and author of the handbooks foreword.
The handbook will be sold at the launch, the Perth Law Careers Fair and if any copies remain from the Blackstone common room during the usual trading hours.
Keep your eyes out for more information when semester begins!
