The Wellness portfolio aims to improve law student welfare through supportive, well-being-based programs.

In 2026, we are looking forward to bringing a number of initiatives to the law school to equip students with the skills and resources to lead physically and mentally healthy lifestyles.

Initiatives for 2026 include:

  • Promoting active lifestyles with free gym access throughout the year and participation in Blackstone’s much-loved ‘You’ve Been Served’ volleyball competition.
  • Strengthening community wellbeing through the Blackbird Journal Morning, providing students with tips and advice from faculty, students, legal professionals on how to navigate law school and the legal profession with an emphasis on wellbeing.
  • Providing weekly coffee vans, fostering regular connection and informal networking opportunities with students and sponsor firms.
  • Continuing the Weekly Run Club, offering weekly beginner-friendly routes to encourage routine, fitness, and social connection.
  • Creating a comforting common area for law students by providing weekly snacks and wellbeing activities to allow students a place to de-stress and rest.
