RSPCA WA: Legal Volunteer Needed
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION HAVE NOW CLOSED
RSCPA WA is seeking the assistance of a volunteer law student to assist our Legal Counsel in a para-legal capacity. The work would be for a few weeks but may be longer depending on the availability of the student and the workload.
RSPCA WA Inspectors work daily investigating animal cruelty which may lead to criminal prosecutions or civil forfeiture applications under the Animal Welfare Act 2002. Our Legal Counsel works principally in this area but also in the areas of contract law, employment law and other areas of commercial law. Consequently, working at RSPCA WA would provide a law student with exposure to a dynamic and interesting mix of legal work. Students in their final year of law school would be best suited to this work.
Para-legal assistance is sought for a couple of hours a week which can be worked flexibly depending on study/other commitments. Our office is in Malaga and there is free parking on site.
All interested students should contact Johanna Edwards: JEdwards@rspcawa.asn.au . Please outline your availability and any relevant work experience in your email.
