Law and Society

The Law and Society Major is offered within a Bachelor of Arts, and examines the broad theoretical issues arising from the interaction between law and society. With topics spanning from human rights, Indigenous rights, and freedom of expression and religion, this major allows students to critically analyse how the law operates in action, and strengthen their capacity to write in the clear, concise, and research-dense legal style needed within the Juris Doctor.

Criminology

Studying Criminology allows students to explore the criminal justice system in detail, gaining an understanding of the psychology, ethics and law surrounding crime and criminality. The Criminology major facilitates the establishment of strong research and writing techniques, in both persuasive arguments and discussion based styles, useful skills for further legal study.

Business Law

Falling within a Bachelor of Commerce, Business Law focuses on the fundamental relationship between law and business. Units within this major offer students the opportunity to excel across the board, from areas of the law of law that can be highly technical, such as taxation law, to areas that require a much larger degree of legal interpretation, such as torts.
